The Ring: Opening Sequence Analysis

Title Sequence: Seven

We as a group really liked this opening sequence. We derived inspiration from the way the antagonist is introduced, no facial shots are needed because the sinister music and angles of shots establish the character as the antagonist.
The way the titles have been made and are positioned are effective as they help create the mise-en-scene of the thriller and the soundtrack is edgy, this creates the tension.
The opening to Seven is really engaging, and we want our Thriller to engage the audience like this, without giving away too much of the storyline.
This opening keeps the storyline a mystery, and we think this is effective because the audience are almost confused by the title sequence but still interested, therefore they will be entertained and wanting to watch more.
